My inspiration comes from years of scouting locations while working as a Creative Director. I’ve directed photo shoots in some of most beautifully inspiring and quaint places in the world. I now live in one of those beautiful places; a little fishing village on the New England coast. It’s one of the few places in the world where you can see the sun rise and set over the ocean.
From my studio, I see the early morning light flickering over the water at sunrise, as well as those moments of vanishing light just before sunset. These are my favorites times to capture the stillness and beauty that happens as the sun reverberates and reflects off of the grasses, trees and water and of course, the little boats that dot this magical place. From the time I was a little girl, I always knew I was going to be an artist. As a matter of fact, I won my first art show at the age of seven. Immediately after graduating high school, I entered the Art Institute of Boston and while there, I won many awards and commendations for my work. After graduation from the Art Institute, I went to work in the fashion industry and during my more than 20-year career, I rose to the role of Creative Director. Today – as an accomplished and successful painter – my work has been compared to the impressionistic style of some of the “old masters” splashed with a touch of fantasy. My work has been featured in numerous art shows and exhibits and is displayed in the homes and offices of many prominent and well-respected art collectors, families, and corporations. |
