My inspiration comes from many years of creating paintings in oils en plein air on Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. The unique vibrant daylight on the Cape and Islands inspires me to use a palette knife coupled with a variety of brushes, creating a great deal of texture and color that I incorporate into my paintings. My roots on the Cape and the Islands as well as working with animals and musicians give me a "soulful impression" of texture, color, and impact upon the creation of each canvas of seascapes, landscapes, portraits of animals and people.
