Located in the center of Cape Cod’s bustling Provincetown, Thanassi Gallery has for 31 years featured the paintings of Thanassi, including his iconic “The Red Dory” painting, a favorite of visitors to the end of the Cape for decades.
The Gallery has become a P-Town stable showcasing the talent of 26 local artists including the calming pastel boats of Leslie Berenson, the still lifes and magic ballerinas of Mary Holton, the cupolas and towers of Provincetown by Charles Tersolo, and the marshes of Cape Cod towns by Stephen Knight.
The eclectic mix of styles include Joao deBrita, representing Provincetown’s Portuguese history, the academic still-life compositions of vessels from renowned American Painter Robert Douglas Hunter (deceased), as well as the work of Chuck Anzaloni, Richard MacCormack, Debra Hope Collegian, Richard Muccini, and Todd Montanaro.
A picture can never do a work of art justice. So, next time you find yourself on Cape Cod, pay us a visit in Provincetown and view the artwork in person.
